The Hotel Goldener Adler is a traditional Tyrolean inn, which first opened in 1390 and is set in an 18th century building. Beside the hotel entrance is a marble plaque with some of the names of the famous people who have stayed here, including Emperor Joseph II, Mozart and Goethe. Guestrooms feature rustic white walls and dark wood antique furniture. All have cable television, telephones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms have toiletries, hair dryers and showers or bathtubs. In the restaurant, guests can select from a choice of hearty mountain cuisine and dine in historic surrounds, with wood paneling, antique tables and beams. There are numerous private dining rooms which seat from 12 to 80 guests. The hotel is in the center of Innsbruck, adjacent to the landmark Golden Roof; the Hofburg Imperial Palace, where the Austrian Emperors lived, is 100 meters from the front door. Innsbruck Airport is 6 kilometers away. Buses run from the Airport to the city center every 15 minutes and take about 20 minutes. Alternatively guests can take a taxi to the hotel.

Driving Directions : From the airport, take the A12 towards Innsbruck. Take the exit for Innsbruck West, then at the next crossing turn left towards Zentrum. At the next crossing turn right (the street name is Innrain) and after about one kilometer, past the Hotel Innsbruck, stop on the right at the entrance to the old town, a pedestrianised area. The hotel is situated 50 meters to the right.
